Reproduction bolts?

Hi all,

I'm just going into the last stages of refurbing my '99 alu lobo, about to send the frame off to Argos for a respray. The only hurdle I can forsee is that some of the linkage bolts are quite badly rounded off.

I had to take it into lbs to get some of them out safely, they said I might not be able to get them sufficiently tightened up again (pics attached, pilfered from another thread).

I emailed BETD a few days ago but haven't heard anything back yet (how are they on reponding generally?). Does anyone know of anywhere that might be able to reproduce replacement bolts?

Cheers,
-Mark

i suspect these might me very specialist but locally we have a place called bapp for bolts. if they dont have what you need, they usually have something that will do the job.

i assume they are a national company

Try looking in the Classic bike magazines, there are quite a few companies that will make new custom one-off bolts etc

I've had this problem before and used a small flat file and re-shaped the hex to tidy it up and acquired a set of tapered allen keys (Snap On was the only source) to loosen/tighten them.

Granted, not quite as good as replacing them completely, but it works.
