replacement freehub for ultegra 6500 rear hub?

The freehub on my Ultegra 6500 rear hub is completely worn out. Am I right in thinking that a 6700 10 speed freehub will be a suitable replacement? As I understand, a 9 speed cassette will work on a 10 speed hub by simply omitting the spacer, but will the freehub be compatible with hub?

Mines being knackered since I got the wheel off a racing bike I bought 4 years ago and transferred it to my commuter bike (ceramic rim so perfect for me), still going though doesn't sound great.
However I'd be interested to know what there is compatibility wise for the 6500 hub.
