reliving my youth Kona Kilauea 97

Hi,Just picked up this bad boy from ebay , was looking for a 96 but needs must.

Any advice/inspiration in terms of paint scheme as it's a bit rough in some areas.

Flat black bars a must, what size the seat post seen 227mm & 27.2mm coming up on searches

If the paint's dodgy, why not get it resprayed to look like a '96?

227mm might be a bit on the big size. If it's any help, the Explosif from the same year is 27.0mm

My recommendation: don't touch the paint, even if it's rough. It's only original once and the depth of the blue is really ace once you clean it up and polish.

It'll take a 27mm seatpost and 27.2mm top pull low riser front mech.

Very nice

But then I'm a little biased as I also have a 97 Kilauea and love it to bits, so light and agile.
