Hi fellow retroheads ,

I saw this lovely looking road bike last week , but had never heard of the make . Hoping someone on here could shed some light . D/t stickers said REILLY , not one I'd heard of , but was very nice to look at , as was the lady riding it .
It was a steel frame , in a tomato soup kind of orange , with chrome lugs , including the in/out lugs of the internal rear cable guide . Seemed to be well specced too , with what looked like cut-out Campag calipers , some gold , light looking q/r skewers and various other things that caught my eye .
Unfortunately , I didn't get a chance to ask the lady in question about her bike , so maybe one of you can shed some light ?

Thanks

Mike

Never heard of it either but there were thousands of small bike makers during the classic era of the steel road bike. Also it could be a custom sticker, of course.

Re:

That must be my bike.Where did u see it?
Lucky you were complimentary about the owner..
It was made for me by Mark Reilly formerly of Enigma Bikes in Sussex and it is Reynolds 753 frame and forks with polished stainless steel lugs and modern ! Campag Athena with Chris King hubs and Ambrosio Excellight wheels.
Not sure about your colour description!Pearl orange is the paint name.
I did the Bleinham palace sportive on it yesterday and it rides as good as it looks.

I saw you at shoreham harbour on it on Friday . I was onthe rusty mtb. We exchanged a few words before you rode away from me  across to shoreham beach on the new bridge . Appologies for paint description , it was all I could think of that came close  . Hope you enjoyed the sportive ;)

Re:

Thought it must have been there.I remember the encounter.I actually like the alternative paint colour description!
If anyone wants to see pics of the bike look on the Nervebikes facebook page under the "albums" section -it's labelled "Sue's 753."

[PS I do have a few genuinely retro bikes as well so not on the site under false pretences!]
