Refurb/respray query

Just bought this frame and although it`s in pretty good nick for 9, I`m thinking of having it resprayed. Theres a few nicks and dings here and there. Whats the best way to get it back to the bare metal~? without wrecking or damaging it.
Also any ideas on original colours for this frame (Alibi)

Any information appreciated guys.

As for stripping the frame, you really can't beat Nitro-mores (SP?).

Just leave it on for a good 15-20 mins before you strip it. I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the paint didn't come off first go.
Once the paint's off give it a good wash with hot soapy water. Oh and gloves 'n' goggles.

As for colour, over to the Ibis expert I s'pose.

Nitromors had crossed my mind but the reason I asked was because a friend offered to sandblast it but i said I wasn`t sure. I remember years ago having a steel frame sandblasted and it was perfect but alloy?

I wouldn't sand blast alloy, but make sure that's what he means first. If he means bead blast, then that would be fine. Two quite different things all together, bead blasting is much more gentle.

b. if you want to get it resprayed, leave the stripping to the people doing the respray

Hmmmmmmm, you guys know how to confuse a man lol

I`m on two minds whether to repaint it anyway, but I`ve just bought new original decals from chuckibis and tbh the pics make it look better than it is. Honestly if it was 9 outta 10 then I wouldn`t be bothering.

I`ll think about it overnight. Still not sure about colour (IF i change it). :?:

Certainly seems like less hassle. Especially if someones offered to do it for free.
