Recommend a 1" headset

I am building up a mtb frame with 1" threaded forks and a bit clueless about what to use in the headset area. The last time I rode MTB's with inch steerers I was a child! I am concerned about getting something durable for my typically limited budget.

I dont want to spend more than £20.

Chain Reaction Cycles do a great 1" Ritchey Logic Headset for under a tenner. I've got one going onto one of my Orange frames, placed alongside one of my STX-RC headsets they look very similar

Make sure you by one for the corret diameter crown race. There are two JIS and ISO.

I have found the Tifosi 1" headsets to be quite good as have strangley the YST headsets. They can even come with both size of crown race in case you do not know the diameter.
