How dangerous would this be to ride, around roads (nothing remotely extreme) Zaskar that’s cracked

As daft as it my sound, these issues are rarely tested to destruction. Once discovered, they are retired. It may have been a daily rider for the last keeper, that crack wouldnt have happened hung on a wall.
I guess that its your call, but doing something about it is still an option.
Are you trying to avoid pricey re-anodising? A decent alu fabrication shop will buzz a weld over that quite easily.

Don't do it unless you want Zaskar pieces stuck in your a**e.

Well I had a similar crack on a purple rts frame and I rode it around streets etc. But not offroad

But as said above you can get it welded over cheap enough and enjoy it gently

The problem with alluminium is, unlike steel, there is limited warning of catastrophic failure! Steel will get worse and one day break.....alluminium is likely to go bang just as your sphericals are in that region of the frame.

Guess it's down to personal choice. I wouldn't ride a cracked frame myself.

Buy it, get it welded, don’t do owt daft on it and enjoy it, for that money it’s worth it

Re welding will ruin the heat treatment also.

Thanks for all the advice, cheap as it is the mech hanger will come in useful too as I have another decent frame missing one so it’s killing two birds with one stone

The missus will be extatic
