Rather nice MBK

Re:

Transcript of my messages to this seller

ME:
Why is this relisted? Did you consider doing a second chance offer to the second bidder and loosing out on a quid? Did two people back out of buying it at the rather surreal price it ended at? Interested... but 70 quid.. phew... you are kidding for sure.

Are you getting your mates to shill bid? jk.. of course.

SELLER:
hi
winning bidder fobbed me off that his computer malfunctioned although he bid £70 then bid again so i had to cancel order
i gave a second chance offer but they didnt get back hence re-listing
theres alot of timewasters on ebay
thanks

Still suspicious he did this in under a minuite.... opinions anyone

Aww, I want this to get back to the LGF/Sinnerman tiff.
That's far more funny than looking at what the police pulled out of a canal.

Aww Man that's a better line than in any film,

If I had just said That to LGF at the beginning, I wouldn't have had to upset his mum, by going on date nite with him.

" look at what the police pulled out of a canal"

That's a Score ive lost in that bet. Bloody Blind Dates.

Personally I think all RBers are a bit 'speshull'. I was talking to somebody at work about my collection of bikes and I might as well have been admitting to pidgeon fancying or train spotting the way they looked at me.

bike of the year 1985.. stick that in yer stumpjumper and smoke it

well im a sucker for a biplane fork so i did a bit of research and its far from the mustang level pos sinnnerman would have us believe. rear mech looks like a downgrade, original should be sachs duopar or new success, the rear hub/block is malliard heliomatic, might be worth a few quid on its own. plus the cool forks.

but yeah its mass produced and only 3 cromo tubes, and by the looks its beyond saving, too many visits from the rust fairies. from my perspective, i was close to buying a peugeot that was similar but with sexy bullmouse bars. i won the auction, twice, only bidder, but i just couldnt work up the enthusiasm to do the 30 min train journey to collect. probably ended up at the tip.

anyway this guy seems keen on them - 4000 francs in 1985...

and heres a couple of example of what it could look like with a lllloooottt of work

I am falling over myself for it, the Hi tensile steel forks, a knock off of the norm at the time, but the ultimate collectors items that have me convinced, are the Rare spoke guard chain guard and solid axles,

I love to have seen it as bike of the year..., Dam we had slim pickings back then.

I think you were thinking Maverick too, not mustang, that came later. ;)
