STX-RC dates back to at least 1996 (maybe 1994).

I found the bike/spec/price in my 1997 copy of MBR magazine.

Ah, good find. Had a quick ride out on it and found a few problems, the rear mech takes a while to click down. Also the front only clicks up onto second ring.

Nice find.

It is defo a Raleigh Special Products bike. Hand assembled by just one builder. The decal on the bottom of the down tube will tell you what tubes were used in the frame. I Think it was double butted cro-mo.

I would hazard a guess that the 96 in that frame number is significant.

I could see that sticker in the original photo's, but the seller could not tell me what it said.
