It's a long way from the original Raleigh spec but has served me very well the last 18 months or so. I recently had it refinished in very smart gold powder coat for a very reasonable 40 quid all-in. Doing a few long distance rides on it in the very near future, which I'm looking forward to! Despite having a shorter wheelbase than a "pure" tourer it handles those sort of trips well. Now re-configured as a 14-speed rather than 21-speed transmission and will probably move to a 48/36 set-up when the existing chainrings wear out.
