She said she needs it for a few days to get the colour right. If all goes well I should pick up the frame as is, with a tin of touch up paint. She's not painting it. I get the pleasure of that.

I know most of the damage is hidden but I want to make as good a job of this as possible without losing the character of the bike.

If she does a good job. I hope she knows what she is letting herself in for, hoards of Retrobikers descending upon her door with sundry patina frames :facepalm:

Glad you're keeping the paint, looks a great project, the gran sport seems to be rarest of the Raleighs from that period. Be interested to see how close the paint matching lady gets. :)

They do seem to be rather rare. Those Team colours are as common as a bag full of common things left on Horsell Common and found by a commoner...

No one would have believed that in the last years of the nineteenth century, this world was.............
