I've got the same type row of 7 digits on my Raleigh elan. Do you know what they mean. Is it possible to date the bikes from these numbers?

ISTR that the inside of the left chainstay said 'Banana' not 'Raleigh'. The inside of the right was probably the same.

The decals on the front forks face sideways rather than forwards. I thought it looked better. Plus the "Raleigh" decal should be below the red/blue stripes on the down tube, however I messed up where the yellow / black paint met & needed to cover up my mistake
