Raceface buys Easton?

RF was to go out of business but I believe a few employees rescued it. don't believe it was sold/bought out by another company.

Re:

i'm not sure exactly but i heard they overextended themselves when they started manufacturing over in the far east, which caused them to go bust, then they re-opened as as just the original canadian made stuff, but i assumed they were at best getting back on their feet as a company so to see them purchase Easton is a surprise to me.

seems the guy who now owns Race Face was the director of OEM sales of the Easton. so I guess that's the connection of why Race Face is getting the cycling divison of Easton.

Easton Bell are in the do do apparently due to some NFL court case(s) that they are most likely going to lose and cost them a fortune which is why I believe they are shedding subsidiaries.

Easton are also in a funny place in the market...they were once a highish end company but they haven't protected their pricing and seem to be heavily discounted most places.

wow thats crazy.
Like others I'd thought RF were struggling back from the brink and Easton a big powerhouse...

Maybe thats why Texiara is now a Specialised guy.
