Hello chums,

I scored these off of eBay recently and I’m pretty sure they are turbines. They were sold as prodigy cranks.
Just looking for a rough date period for them as they may find their way onto my Lts. Am I right in thinking they originally had a spacer that say behind the granny ring?
The arms are stamped different numbers too (Lh 0528 Rh 0530) does that signify anything other than the mismatch?

The down pointing arrow signifies downhill variant as mentioned. Only found out as someone was looking for an rf DH stem and I had one that looked the same but no arrow.

Unless the holes are threaded for the inner ring, no inner. Can't tell from the pics if it is or not.

Ah that explains the difference in logo's, I was wracking my brains looking for another example.

does look like an FSA ring on it though.
Yeah the ring is knacked! 110 bcd so the search is now on!

I did look, honest guv!

We have a thread, yes…I need to clean them up.

The main giveaway is the edges of the arms are flat and not milled out. then the extra bulge around the spindle to reinforce it.

They are designed to also move to 3 rings if needed (mainly as the reinforcement ring bolt there and why not. You do however have to find a 'fun size' spacer and long bolts.) [for the older turbines they are 16mm bolts and 8.30mm spacers, I assume they stayed the same on these newer late 90's style of LP turbines]

I ended up buying some of these m8 “stand off spacers”, hopefully the shifting won’t suffer the 0.3 difference too much 🤞🏻 Thanks for this info…invaluable 🙌🏻

I've been looking for a set of Race Face cranks in silver, but never really knew the differences between cranks they offered as I never had any bitd. But now I feel these are the type I'd like to find as I only want to run a single ring, and it's for a downhill bike.
The search begins!...
