Question for the Vitus 979 gurus! Fork steerer size?

Hi folks, I've got a 979 frame on the way but it has a non-original fork.

Can anyone definitively tell me from experience the fork steerer size and thread pattern so I can start sourcing one please?

It can be English or French, so you need to establish which it is first.

So I need to source a fork with an english threaded 1 inch steerer?

Or 1 and 1/8 inch?

Yes it is 1".
Do check first though.
If it's a French fork it'll be a French bottom bracket and they are getting very hard to find at any price.

I don't think so?

Its got a flat crown, mudguard attachment eyes and a boss for attaching the old style lamp bracket.

Haven't removed it yet to investigate more....
