Wanted Pub bike / commuter

My brothers looking for a second hand bike to get him to the train station etc.

Size is likely to be (Kona ish sizes) 19/20"


Just wondering what's out there so I can tell him.

Can be newer than retro.

Location is Hertford/Welwyn ish, I think.

I've got a 20" 1990 Marin Palisades available in really nice shape if interested? A equally tidy 19" 1992 Saracen Tufftrax too, with M550 LX.

I ought to get shot of this really... would make a super duper commuter - fast light and rugged enough. It's got v- brakes fitted and although super solid and mechanically well sorted is a bit rough around the edges so you don't need to worry about scratching it.

It's 19" c-t.

Price depends on spec - I'd quite like to keep the wheels etc. but would be happy to sort out some suitable replacements. I got the frame karma and if I could cover what it owes me I'd be happy.

I have a 19" rock lobster team 853, 30 speed SRAM, fox forks, various other bits and pieces. Currently has hope mono mini brakes on, can sell without. I need to cable up the mechs. PM if interested not sure what it is worth
