Proflex 856 sizing question.

I am 170cm/5'7" in height.
Wondering if a large size Proflex 856 is too tall for me?

Apparantly the frame measures 18" to top of seat tube and Top Tube measures 58cm c-c.

This would be built up for offroad use.

Thoughts please.

Possibly a bit on the "Large" side

My 857 is Size Large, I'm 5'11" and have about 6" of seatpost sticking out the frame...


I'd probably go for a medium if I were you.

As a 6'1 856 rider of same said frame size (which runs large and fits me fine) I concur gents that for the op....

proflex frames seem to size up oddly anyway. my old 18" felt more like a 20

I'm 5'7" and found a small 857 was too short along the top tube.
I also had a large xpx bought as a donor for the 857 and found it suited me far better.
The sloping top tube gives loads of clearance, it just means you have to cut the seat post short.
