Just wanted to post up my 855.
I have had the frame for many years, however due to a move to London it was left to one side for sometime. Once I finally decided to get it out again and build it up I noticed a crack in the rear swing arm pivot. See photos.
Some browsing of the yellow pages led me to a local welder who managed a sterling effort as show below.
It now runs sweet as you like.
Kit wise it has an mix of LX and XT groupset, Easton bars, shark bite pedals, spin tri-spokes, USE seat post, Bonty Ti saddle. I also managed to obtain some gore ride-on cables which are surely some of the finest low maintenance cables known to man.
The rest of it is fairly run of the mill
