It has to be a "modified" picture, however doesn't stop you admiring the cleverness of the idea.

I seem to remember some past entries that have been blatantly "modified" also.....

In this digital age where so many images are "modified" to suit the purpose of the photographer/media/advertiser/individual I'm not sure if this should be a problem or not really...

I agree! At least its another entry!

Should have more every month really. I only use my phone and I dont have any coveted bikes, its just about giving it a go really.

I have a phone and a DSLR but the DSLR doesn't come with me on rides. I don't really know what the rules are anyway. Just pointing it out as even with the rules at the top of the post there are lots of entries to BoTM that break the rules.

I think I have a different interpretation of the word contradiction to others.
fat and thin are not contradictions but opposites
year comparisons are not, as are country comparisons, neither is old vs new comparison.

Road tyre on a Mountain bike is a contradiction.
Camleback on a water bottle.
Photoshopped* 'picture' in a photo competition *not just a simple tweak of the image quality/colours, or is it picture of the month, I forget

Valid points. Just to be clear my photo isn't about Camelbak bottles - that was someone else's gag. The intention is to portray that reasonable logic would suggest a newer, more sophisticated and expensive vehicle (a car) should be the better form of transport, but the photo contradicts that because the newer car is fooked while the older bike is still going strong
