Are you sure it is a press fit bottom bracket, that drive side looks like a cup and the none drive (no picture but the one you can see easier) side may look press fit on these frames if screwed in all the way.

Get some more detailed pictures up.
Are they just tange big forks (or some name similar), rebranded by many, used by many.?

Not read the other posts past the serial number.
But my input.
It has the powerstays of the A-Pro made aluminium-o.

It doesn't look to have the replaceable hanger (so it's the 1992 model, first two batches).
It has a stay, which adds to the first two batches.
It doesn't have riveted cable guides, so that makes it the second batch.
That batch is A106 (1991 June).

Yours is A910(1)
Which could possibly be a 1989 Nov model for the 1990 years
Or a different coding and 1991 Jan, it could be as it has 8 numbers and not seven.
(Cheshire1980, did the Feb 1991 batch use this coding and not the newer style?)

Either way, it is earlier than the Aluminium-o.
I'll leave it there.

Hi! Thanks for all the info. I have some more details about the frame.


No replaceable hanger.
Has an extra number at the bb which is 4989.
The bb inner diameter is 35 mm and 86mm wide.
It is a 16" frame.
The seat post is a Kalloy 31.4.
The fork CR-MO Tange MTB. It also has an engraving wich says "Akisu E28".

Has the idea of it being a fisher been launched now? I have a vague memory of them having cartridge BBs, but I might be confusing that with oversize headsets.

There is also this other number on the BB 4989. And the rear rim could be the original one that came with the bike, an Ambrosio Montana rim with Deore Lx hub... but I'm not sure.

Echoing the other replies here - I definitely don't think it's an Aluminium 'O' either.
As FluffyChicken mentions - the upper cable routing is the same as my 2nd batch 'O' (Jun'91) but the seat post size is 27.6mm (well 27.2mm with Guinness can Shim for me!)
....so the 31.4mm doesn't stack up.

Sinnerman put forward the Caloi.... it's similar but the seat stay profiles are different and it has a squarer section to the rear cable guide.
BITD, around 93/94 - I remember stripping the black paint from my original Aluminium 'O', polishing the frame and painting the forks Orange to look like the Caloi :facepalm: :facepalm: God knows why, suppose I thought it needed a makeover for something that was current at the time!

Anyway, Sinnerman also mentions Scott.... I've had a look and this could be closer to the mark. The upper cable routing is wrong, no rack mounts, and a curved seat stay brace, but the other elements such as the box section stays, 1 1/4" headset /tube, and tange big fork are there. Looks a bigger seat post too?

As also suggested, it could also be an A-Pro frame manufactured for another European brand. Wheeler rings a bell but can't find any images.

Hello all! Happy new year I have finally found what this byke is... it is a Francesco Moser - Big Bear and it should be 1992, I guess... Checked measures, parts, etc., and it all matches (even the Ambrosio rims and fork). So, finally haha!

Thank you all, with all your comments I have been able to discard many brands and guess for a European rare brand like this.
