54cm medium full carbon frame and fork…
I’ve owned this from new and purchased it to do some local races on. However I badly broke my leg at work a few years ago and have been unable to race so this has been sat idle.
Being the OCD fanny that I am, like all my modern bikes it’s been helitaped from new, including the cranks so is in lovely cosmetic condition.
Full 10 speed shimano 105 groupset.
I fitted a superstar components single front ring very soon after buying it but have all the original parts inc front mech , chainrings and cables if you wanted to convert it back to 2 x 10 setup.
Comes with the standard cable disc brakes which I found extremely simple and reliable.
Also got a spare mech hanger and the rear mech that’s fitted still has the protective film on the shimano 105 decal!
I upgraded the wheels to kinesis crosslights which are super light along with a lightweight Planet X race seat.
The only known issue is that under heavy braking on the front, the front wheel pulls towards the disc in the dropouts.
I’ve thoroughly investigated this, swapping wheels and skewers etc from other bikes and found that the left front fork dropout has worn slightly so under hard braking (the brakes are powerful) it causes this issue.
I’ve tried a stronger steel skewer off another bike fastened tight and this seems to almost solve the issue…
I would say that ideally though, it needs a new front fork at some point to rectify this issue and in the meantime fasten the front skewer as tight as you possibly can.
Replacement forks can be found on eBay and similar sites (700c tapered disc fork).
Before I buy and fit a new fork and then ask more money for the bike I thought I’d let you guys have a chance at this package as it is… I’m also awaiting Planet X replying to me to see if they have a replacement…
In the meantime tho I’m offering this to anyone on here for £400 inc uk mainland postage which I think is a great price for the sum of all the parts alone.
I’m also prepared to post to other areas of uk inc Highlands and Islands for the difference in postage costs that I’m already offering.
The bike will come without pedals and will be fitted with folding continental cyclocross speed tyres, not the ones shown in the pic of the bike.
I’ve just bought a new Trek Emonda hence the cull and offer
Any questions please ask
Andy
**Flash sale! If anyone wants it this BH weekend before I potentially replace the fork then I’ll sell for £375 inc mainland postage!!!**
Now £350 before I look for replacement fork…
