Old School Grand Master
heres something i made for the missus on her birthday, its 36 inches high,33 inches long,10 inches wide, uses oak, mahogany, holly, pine and maranti(i think)...............oh and it weighs about 33kg.took 2 months to make and use over 300 seperate bricks to make.the drawers are solid oak too..none of that veneered crap....the theme is darkside to lightside of the moon with a hint of the division bell.

Amazing craftsmanship OP !!! I have an Irish uncle who makes some intricate inlaid tables mostly for the US market. Nothing better that the finest hand made goods.

As way of inspiration...

This is the last wee tool box i made as a gift for an RB member, in way of a tnx  its probably fallen apart by now

Canadian hard Maple and Bubinga, with Ebony X wedging on the through tenons.
Style is based on a Japanese carpenters saw box, top locked with a compound wedge. Fun to make but not technically challenging, beyond making through tenons line up perfectly.

thats a nice combo of woods.theres nothing better than something you make yourself.i really like the way you have wedged the tenons,i may have to give this a go on my next jobbie( a box for my planes)..ps that bubinga is nice to look at...where did ya get it and more importantly ...got any left?
