Peugeot Super competition

Retro Newbie
Hi guys, just registered and thought I would start a topic about this one.. I have what I believe to be a Peugeot super competition.. but I can;t seem to find any further info on it.. I bought it as a frame and built it up with newer 700c wheels..

It is stickered as a super competition, and the decals look genuine enough, although tubing isn't marked at all and it has the 1/2 chrome forks..

Anyone any ideas? It's running tracer cranks and suntour rear mech and shifters, also Peugeot centre pull brake calipers

Re:

Hello and welcome. The `super competition` decal appeared quite a bit on the higher end Peugeot`s around 1979-81 usually the PX10 / PY10 531 framed models. Even the team bikes in 1979 had this decal as in this photo of Robert Millar from his ACBB days. Specs varied from country to country and `super competition appeared on models were CFX10 / PSV10 / PX10 / PY10c / PY10LC /PY10S to name a few.

Re:

Very neat.

Looks like it's been repainted, so the decals won't be original to the bike. Peugeot only put the plastic headbadge on the better models so that doesn't mean it's not a Super Competition.
