One reason my 29er is still rigid. Are there any decent 29er Suspension forks under £500?

Suntour Durolux 29r forks seem to get good reviews, not as sexy as fox, dvo, rock shox etc but I think they have upped their game in the last few years.

I had some Suntour forks on a bike once, they weighed 3.5kg

I didn't have them for long....

In all seriousness the fox factory step cast are 500g lighter!

Not any cheaper though! Christ on a bike!

My googling skills are failing me, it's proving challenging to find something swish at a reasonable price. Crazy times.

Also, hardly anything I do stumble across is actually in stock.

Which size wheels do you have in mind?

A nice pair of rigid carbon forks, exotic forks have a nice amount of flex and wont break the bank.

I think you are right, when looking at what's out there and the crazy prices, something Fox seems the way forward

The German shops always used to be cheapest but Brexit may have spoiled that? I imagine the Yari/Zeb/Rev will do a decent job and can be upgraded later.

I personally prefer Fox and think they're ace but only buy when there's a mega sale. With the current shortages you could be waiting a while for that to happen again!

I’d throw a used Pike on at £300-400 and fit a RC2 upgrade if trying to keep cheap.

Fox are fussy forks in my opinion if you actually ride a bit. Service intervals are too soon for anyone riding a decent amount.
