Very nice, what are your 'personalisation' plans? Maybe a Johnny Morris badge as I presume this is a keeper?

Simple - it’s been nickel coated and it’s a Pace. Ni = nickel.

Ni from Nickel
Ce from Pace

Therefore new frame name = Nice

Oh it’s a keeper already… but maybe better described as an “inheritance bike” as @Our Jimmy is already eyeing it up! Apparently in a year or two he recons he’ll fit it and by then I’ll need an e-Pace to keep up!
joking aside, he may well fit it by the time the bloody forks arrive
As for personalisation… for now that’s between me and Gil, you lot will have to wait

Nikel plated. Is that going to be like the old orange bikes or is this more like a thick paint?

It’s the base layer that would normally be put on before a chrome layer.
Why not go full chrome? Well that would have meant first polishing the base steel to a high finish, then applying the nickel, then polishing again before applying the chrome. This would cost at least four times as much…
Besides, I wanted a satin but clean steel look, but corrosion resistant, ergo nickel plate finish.
