Thinking about my Christmas present & was wondering about a modern 29” but steel frame. Obvious choice for me would be a RC529 from the friendly local bike type people at Pace.
Any users on the forum?

A few people I ride with have them, a really taut bike and with a monster front fork on it you can hammer the downhills

My sister and Mrs Peachy have been so impressed with my efforts regarding my weight and health they said they’d get me a joint present and asked what I’d like. So I’m thinking of a 529 frame, then build it up myself.
I’ve got some ideas on how to make it look extra special

I just bought my first modern, it's frickin' weird after riding retro, not sure I like it.

It's a good looking bike and competitively priced with the competition (eg Stanton).
I'd have one if I was getting another hard tail.

I’ve never ridden a modern bicycle… (well nothing newer than 2001 & certainly not a 29”…
Might see if I can try before I buy?
