I bought this a few years ago now via that there farcebook iirc, wasn't the cheapest pace pace frame I've acquired over the years but was my proper size. unfortunately the seller, as nice as it was that he dropped it off at my house, failed to describe or show that it had been previously repaired around the bottom of the seat tube.......

At that time we had just started doing more displays, NEC, Malvern's and talk of York etc was meaning i had an excuse to build more stuff haha so built it with some cool bits, hope wheels, middleburns, xtr, gripshift xrays etc. never really wanted to ride it in anger for fear of it breaking again....... and this is how it stayed for a few years until a decided to split the bike and changed some of the bits for comfort and to ride it, if it broke I would see if its fixable again, they're made for riding after all so version 2 was built and I've enjoyed riding it locally and around the peaks etc, no issues.

With my recent cull and proposed fewer bikes to worry about I decided to split down the f8 and another 19" this was had m950 etc xtr so I decided to rebuild this f8 with the m950/70 groupset, a change of finishing kit and a more subtle and classy pace build.

Frames been stripped, cleaned and polished so its fresh again and all the parts will be cleaned, checked and refitted over the next few weeks, gonna make a time-lapse video of building it up hopefully, just for shits and giggles.

Anyway, pic from the NEC as version 1.

One frame ready for a rebuild. Ive added an f3 seatpost clamp as the original cracked on another f8 that I'm selling and rich sent me this year's ago to replace it but swapped if for this frame as it's chunkier. Frame repair isn't the prettiest but appears to have held up well thus far.....shouldn't have said that now haha. More parts to clean this week
