Pace Grease Alternative..

Retro Newbie
Afternoon guys.

I've been trying to get hold of some pace rc7 grease without success.

I'm worried about using an alternative. I have come up with these possible alternatives so far:-

Stendec Easy Glide Fork Grease
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=3150

Slick Honey
http://www.ison-distribution.com/ison/e ... rt=LUBZSH1

or even these ones..

Silkolene Pro RG2

Castrol LM

I've read lots of conflicting google searches and now I'm bloody confused ;)

Would you recommend one of these or a better alternative?...

Regards,

Char

Yeah,

Pm'd him once (hopefully) last week and Monday this week...

I've been having trouble with my Internet connection so I'm not 100% he got it but I don't wont to keep sending PMs. He might be away on holiday or something...

cheers

You might have to wait for the internet pigeon to get up there to him.

If you check your Outbox and Sent Box on your PMs, those in your Outbox haven't been read yet. Those in the Sent Box have.

He's a reliable and very helpful chap. If he can't help you, try and thread in the wanted section

Thanks for the tip..

I had actually pm'd twice last week and not this week yet... (sign of my old age)

They have not been read yet..

cheers.

I've used Silkolene RG2 for a decade or more on my forks and bearings. Works a treat and is quite cheap for a big tub..

picked up a tub in lowestoft a while ago for a few quid ...still in the shed..cos i need a grease gun....just too lazy to get i think.um try phoning a few well known bike shoppies as theymay have some gathering dust somewhere..

I use Manitou Prep-M in my Pace Forks with no problems, works good with the Grease Port system too.

Any decent fork grease should be good, but the Pace stuff is supposed to be best for not harming bonding agents and carbon...
