I've picked up what i believe is an Overbury's Pioneer.
I've got limited knowledge about it. I'd have dated it about 1988, but the crank arms date to April / May 89 (FD dates to 8 so i guess it's an 89. As you can see, it's got a Suntour roller-cam on the rear.
It's been rattle-canned at some point with a poor attempt at a splatter job. The original paint seems to be one colour, bright yellow, possibly fluro (difficult to tell against the green)
Spec as it stands is: FD, shifters & levers Deore. Cantis, chainset, RD & SP Deore XT. Hubs Deore LX, rims Mavic M261 CD
The way forward seems pretty clear - paint & decals and replace inappropriate parts - seat, pedals, stem (specialized) grips & tyres.
Edit: one question - I can't see any hint of a serial number on the bottom bracket shell. What's the norm with these?
Any thoughts or info much appreciated.
