I used hairspray. It didn't help.

I think my oury's warned against the use of hairspray ? :?

WD :D

Well, ahem, what would one use to secure ones Oury's then - hairpsray's all I've ever used

Pantene Pro-V Ultra Strong Hold for Fine hair is Retrobikes number one choice i'm sure.....? ;)

I use a bit of duct tape under mine. But the wire-on trick works too.

If "a friend" mistakenly buys the moto-x version, the throttle-side grip has a larger inner diameter. So will always slip on MTB bars.
Don't ask me how I know this

patineto that must be some serious riding you do to lock wire your grips mate

Is more for fun than anything else, a good reminder of my motorcycle days, besides safety wire pliers are really neat..

I even use them on my modern bikes.

That gives me an idea.

I have some foam grips that are a bit slippy. I might try using some plastic zip/cable ties pulled tight with a fourth hand tool:

The extra width of the zip tie is less likely to cut through the grip and the cut plastic end won't be as sharp as wire and cut your finger if you catch it.
