Bought this on the forum about 4 years ago, the seller delivered it to Wadsey who fitted parts supplied by me.
Since then it's undergone several rebuilds by me with the latest being just about right.
I always thought it was a 2005 frame but an ex Orange employee on Pinkbike thinks it's from 2002, it has a measured 4" (100mm) of travel and has a higher bottom bracket height than expected even allowing for the longer than spec fork. The Strange Technology sticker may go some way to explain the variance. Anyway, it rides great at 11.7kgs.
PARTS OF NOTE:
FORK Ex Talas rebuilt by Fox Iberia as a 120mm travel FLOAT after 3 failed repairs. Great service.
SHOCK Fox RP2 with offset bushes supplied by TFTuned giving a 1 degree slacker head angle and lower bottom bracket
WHEELS Sun SOS rims built onto Planet X (front) and clicky Reverse 3ZEROSIX (rear) hubs. Front tyre Racing Ralph 2.25, rear Conti Race King 2.2, both set up ghetto tubeless with the LBS' home brew sealant. He sells it by the litre if you take your own bottle.
BRAKES Hope VP4, enough said.
DRIVETRAIN RF Deus chainset with a Blackspire Snaggletooth 30t N.W. Oval ring driving a Sunrace 11-46 cassette, shifting by 11 speed XT mech and Zee 10 speed shifter, chain is probably XT 10 speed. MG1 pedals (a favourite).
My camera lost most of the early pictures so here is what I have at the moment.
