For Sale Orange R8 853 frame, wheels, tyres and some other bits

I’m hoping to pick something nice up today, if so I’ll have the following for sale and more to follow..

2010 (I think!) Orange R8 limited edition frame in size 17” c-t, tubing is Reynolds 853, the orange head badge was missing when I bought it so I replaced with an Andy Warhol/velvet underground banana but the metal badges are available from Orange for £10. Other than that the frame is in excellent condition, I love it and half hope I don’t like the other one when I see it this arvo! it’s been used so it’s got some marks and chips here and there but is very presentable with no dents, cracks etc.. £180 posted. on hold

I ride 19" retro Orange but 17" on the R8 era due to the different geometry.

The R8 is staying for now, it’s a great frame, I really like it, just have a titanium itch to scratch..

How does the frame ride? the 853 frames i have ridden have been really stiff.

It’s the first hard tail I’ve ridden a lot since a decent full sus for a few years so until I get the marins back in one piece I’ve not a lot to compare it to.. It’s pretty tight, very direct, climbs well and it’s pretty confidence inspiring in fast single track and (non suicidal) downhill sections. Probably not as forgiving as my old 97 Kilauea was.. I do find myself going very fast, probable more so than the old full suss!

Frame and wheels no longer for sale at the moment btw, I’ll change the ad now..

Hi Dave, size is 26” x 1.6”, condition is very good, loads of life left as you can see... I can clean them up for you if you like? Let me know what you think..
