Orange F7 Fork - Another Crown Race, or?

Hi all,

Recently acquired an Orange C16R which I'm disassembling to paint and rebuild.

Hoping to get it bead blasted this week. Noticed this bit on the fork and not sure whether I need to remove or leave as!?

The bike had a crown race as part of the Ritchey headset so not sure if this is also a crown race.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's the crown race seat, an integral part of the fork - and it's been cut and faced, giving it a different look.
Don't try to remove it
