On balance, I still am not a fan of e-bikes (previously known as ‘I just don’t get E bikes’)

iPhones and any other smartphone outdate their app support faster than their hardware dates. I'm not going to disagree with your experiences, they're yours, but I don't believe for a minute that your experience was exactly as described. I still believe my opinion is valid. Although much of the hardware is capable, there's a lot of apps - important ones - being unsupported on older devices quicker than expected. That's not "my opinion" but just a fact of the matter. And when it comes to Apple, they DO actively discourage fixing their devices. Sure, you say that your wife's older phone is being fixed - that is likely a result of them dropping support for that device entirely. They definitely do discourage and actively fight against fixing their modern devices - the ones that are - in their view 'profitable'.

as such my opinion stands.
And when it comes to e-bikes, I'm not saying I know better. I HOPE it'll be nicer than I anticipate. But as of now e-bikes have caused an immense amount of waste, and they'll continue to - as when they fail there are no alternatives. Even 'reusing' batteries won't fix that, as many batteries are proprietary, and that's a trend not likely to end soon.

Well, I'm not going to dig out the receipts for the screen repair/battery repair to prove that I'm not lying because frankly I'm not that interested in proving to you that I'm not (and I doubt I've got them anyhow). Equally, I'm not going to post a video of my iPhone 4 happily playing songs on my stereo. But you can walk practically any dodgy looking mobile phone shop on the high st and they will repair most elements of most iphones. The aftermarket repair business is thriving (there are at least four shops on my local high st). And Apple are getting in on the act too:

Equally, do a search on ebay for iphone (insert model here) and screen/battery etc - and you'll find replacement parts. Then pop yourself over to iFixit and get set by step instructions. Some things are difficult to repair, others less so.

Yep, as I stated after a certain age (5-8 years) many of the apps in the app store will no longer work. But most of the essential bits of the phone still will. Again do a search on YouTube for iphone (any model you like) and the current year and you'll find videos of people demoing what works/doesn't. Generally most iphones are well supported up to around five years.

Apple are guilty of some pretty egregious behaviour, but unless you can back up your opinion with some experiences or actual facts - I'm afraid it's an opinion with no more validity than anyone else's.

I notice you are in Denmark. Perhaps your on the ground experience in terms of availability of repairs etc is different to the UK.

What size wheels are those?
Are they 20-inchers?😱
Cause they look smaller than 24" wheels...
I only ask 'cause I have some 24" rims on the way...

That is a seriously low bottom bracket!!
It looks fun to ride. hehehe
