Old Scott question

hello

it's been a while

i have someone who wants to sell this bike...it looks like a fake scott to me but he insists that he bought the bike in 1991 from Germany. it has the front brake on the right side(the correct british way) so it might not even come from Germany
have you ever seen something like this ? is it a fake ? is it worth more than 10quid ?
