....offered for sale is this rare late 60's/early 70's 10 speed Ciclo Grandini built for Youngs Cycles of Lewisham SE London by renowned frame builder Bill Philbrook, this was their top of the range racing frame built with Reynolds 531 butted tubing featuring Bill's unique lugwork, finished with Campagnolo dropouts and allen key seat cluster this makes for a most attractive frame, size is 55cm's centre to top, refinished a couple of years ago by Mario Vaz in metallic emerald green and lug lined in red
The Campagnolo components consist of a Nuovo Record rear derailleur that has Patent 7O stamped and the front Record derailleur has the early long cable stop, 170mm cranks/chain rings, bar end gear levers/headset/seatpost/large flange hubs are all Campagnolo Record, the rims are Super Champion Competition sprints and although still usable the tubs may need replacing, brake calipers are Mafac Racer coupled with Mafac Course drilled levers, saddle is a Brooks Professional with large copper rivets, bars are deep GB Ventoux's and the stem is an Ambrosio?
