Youll appreciate this if youve ever had to shorten brake hoses.
Getting the inner piece into the hose is a faff requiring the hose to be clamped in two blocks and tapping the inner so it goes in. Inevitably the hose slips in the blocks so can take a few goes to do. :facepalm:
On one sram xo brake i did today, the inner has a spiral grove instead of barbs and a torx t10 socket. So just need to push the inner in by hand then screw it in with a torx bit. ..... so much easier.
