What bike is it for and do you need layback or not?

Have looked at getting one of the brand x ones before but yet to try one. They would be my first choice out of those though.

1993 Raleigh Peak. Layback.....
I need to be able to adjust the angle.
I really like the way that my Charge ones clamp on, so easy and neat looking.

I know what you mean now mk one. The USE ones I have you can't adjust the angle.

Brand X has similar clamp...

What has happened to Charge stuff?
I have 2 Charge posts and a saddle. Can't find their stuff now.
Charge saddle is on the main bike and is very comfy seen as it's so slim.
Would get a Charge 27.0mm in black as the clamp is brilliant.

Anyone have one of them XLC ones?
Like better pics of the clamp.....

1st one is just nasty, cheap alloys, easy to over tighten. I wouldnt even use one for a cheap service item

the other two do look to be just a wee bit better

Black Halfords one. Not keen on clamp.

The one with the very small clamp, will that put pressure on one part of the seat rails rather than distribute weight with a longer clamp?
The Ergotec one.

These are ok, a very traditional design thats almost infinitely adjustable.

Longevity of any seatpost will depend on what you're doing, throwing yourself off a cliff or everyday cross country type riding?
