Picked this from a fellow member on Easter Monday, looked interesting bike to keep me busy for a little while. Stripped and cleaned a bit looks better still, especially forks after receiving old alu foil treatment. I'm more and more inclined that this is not really ROB bike after all, but I may be proved wrong:
Wraparound seatstays
BB not corresponding to any of his numbers (S 80829)
Lugs different to his other models
Forks definitely not original (chromed Ishiwata type with Shimano dropouts)
Headbadge pins on headtube placed vertically as 57mm spacing
Could it be Falcon? Any other suggestions to help me decide what to do with it? Campaq rear dropouts, 27.2mm seat tube and nice lug work suggest a descent quality frame. 120mm rear spacing and some of the parts like Campaq Record 1st gen front & rear mech point out to mid to late 60s, but this could easily be used from another bike or a local bike shop used what they had at the time.
Edit - just cleaned the drop bars - 36cm width, stamped 'AMBROSIO COPPI ROAD PATTERN, MADE IN ENGLAND'
