So I bought this on a bit of a whim from Kerplunk on here because it looked a bit interesting, and my old frame was a bit small for me. The weird geometry sounded like it'd suit me and I've always liked Kona's when I've ridden them. The headtube is quite high up, and it has a semi sloping semi compact geometry, which means it works well if you have a short body and long limbs. Its beautifully smooth to ride, and feel very competent whether cruising through Beaulieu or pushing it hard swerving between new forest ponies The front end is very light, so its a bit scary going down big hills but I'm getting used to it slowly but surely. Its not super light, but not as heavy as you'd expect either.
Frame: Kona Deluxe 2005 (Dedacciai EOM tubing with a carbon rear end)
Fork: Reynolds Ouzo Pro
Headset: MPart
Stem: Something
Handlebar: FSA Something
Bar Tape: Planet X Cork
Groupset: Tiagra 10sp
Rims: Planet X Model B
Hubs: Planet X
Hub Skewers: Shimano
Nipples: Metal
Spokes: ALso Metal and Bladed
Tyres: Zaffiro Pro Folding 25c
Tubes: Round
Saddle: Charge Spoon
Seatpost: Carbon something, yet still heavier than every other seatpost in existence.
Seatpost Binder: Yes
Bottle Cage: Tacx Elite, doesn't match as well as I'd like.
Extras: Decals glow in the dark. Saddlebag thing. Headtube has a spike behind it to mount a pump, but there isn't one on the other side. Pretty sure downtube shifters could be made to fit.
