Seems a huge price for a fairly crudely made device doesn’t it. But it’s sought after and I’d imagine incredibly rare to find NOS.
One of a couple of mech’s I’ll likely never own. C’est la vie.

The first parallelogram derailleur, if memory serves. The cost of the new one is very silly imo.

Absolutely love that new version. Where’s a granny to sell when you need one!

You need two grannies because you will have to adapt your frame to fit it.

I can see why you would like to own an original nivex, and 310 is silly. If you had the time to visit charity shops in France maybe you could find one. @Woz knows all the good spots.

The Nivex is one of the most prized derailleurs for collectors but they hardly ever surface. I’ve only seen a couple for sale over many years and they didn’t hang around.
The other thing is Alex Singer famously spec’d them, so any Singer owner in need is going to be after one. And if you own a Singer you’re pockets are likely pretty deep…

I noticed the king of derailleur collectors, the Disraeli Gears chap didn’t have a Nivex in his amazing collection. Maybe he does now?
