Not sure how many other people are in this position (suspect a few!), but I have a box full of parts, from frames, to wheels, to bolts, to stems and grips, that it would take an age to photograph, list and sell.
Anyone else up for a North West jumble? Not only do you get the opportunity to browse, sell and buy more stuff you'll never use, but you get chance to talk rubbish with fellow rber's and compare notes about all sorts of subjects!
It can't be too hard to organise - bit like a car boot - maybe a "seat pack!". Enough interest and a village/church hall?

Love the idea mate but i'm not capable of travelling very far atm plus i have very little worth selling even though i've got a shed full of bikes and bits but one day i'd really love to do it ..

in theory yes this is a great idea and I would be up for it, loads of spares to move on (and replace)
Depends when and where

Re:

count me in to guys i have enough stuff to get gone but dont have the time to list all of it on ebay or gumtree.talked about doing this a bit ago with danson 67 but it never went anywhere

Yep I'd be up for it too just hope to sell more than I buy
It could be advertised in the comic (cycling weekly) a lot of jumbles get in there.

Good idea I'm a Chorley lad at heart there's a couple of us retro lads in Preston mate.

Re:

In theory yes, but the chances of actually being organised enough to sell anything are slim to none

I'd turn up, talk bolx and probably buy a bunch of stuff though!

Re:

This sounds like a good idea and something I'd be interested to attend if not on the selling front, the buying more retro clobber I don't need and meeting a few fellow retro bikers would be cool.

Perhaps tag onto one of the many organised car boot events around the region where refreshments and other facilities are available so it's not just 5 men and a GT Zaskar.

I like the idea and have a few parts to sell, but it could end up with just sellers and no buyers, could be coming home with more parts than i went with

Arriving with a box of parts and leaving with 2 forks, 3 stem caps and a worn out chain set added to the untouched box of parts is my usual experience of such events  fun nevertheless.
