Stumbled onto the site while Google image searching some older hardtails. Wow, the time I have spent reading posts and looking at pix. Great site.
I have been thinking seriously about getting back on the trails since I have spent the past 12 years riding the pavement.
I had a 1991 Trek 970 as my first serious MTB, then built a 1995 950 front its parts when I kinked the downtube on the 970. I was hoping to find a decent bike/ frame somewhere, only to realize that I had one that would fit me right in my basement. So now I am going to rebuild (retro mod) a 1990 Trek 970. At the same time I am building my wife a F-500 Raleigh and get her out there with me.
Of course it doesn't stop there. I found the link to the K2/ProFlex site on here, signed up over there this morning and have decided to rebuild/mod my ProFlex 856 too.
I'll get some pix up some time in the next week or so.
