New wheelset reccomendations

Hi Guys,

I have a 2004 Kona Cindercone which i am currently revamping with new bits, so far fitted Shimano Deore M615 Disc Brakes.

I would now like to upgrade my wheelset (currently M475 9spd) so would like some recommendations of some decent budget wheels please bike is largely used for commuting and some light offroad.

I'm considering a XT M8000 2x11 drivetrain later so would wheels need to be able to accomodate this (i think what i mean is is an 11speed cassetted compatible with all freehubs ??)

I would checkout the clearance pages from the likes of Chain Reaction. You could snag some real jewels for relative peanuts!

The M8000 11 speed cassette will fit any standard Shimano freehub. I just fitted one to a 2014 mavic crossride and didn't have to remove the cassette spacer. Previously Shimano 9 speed.

For wheels, build your own! Much easier than you would think and the only special tool needed is a good spoke key.
