What year are these? I'm thinking 1996?

Absolutely no clue at all. Maybe 98 as the serial number has an 8 and a 9 but that may mean august ‘99 or august ‘89. Who knows

Well it was a little under 8 I just rounded it down but I got some carbon Athena power torque cranks which will probably be half as light!!

It's a terrible design compared to ultra torque. High risk of damage when removing them with a crank puller (the only way of removing them)

May be but they were cheap and cool looking and that’s all that matters to me

Fair enough! Just take extra precaution when removing! If you have to

I thought the carbon cranks were all Ultratorque. Powertorque is fine but you do need a bearing puller when it comes to removal, a crank puller won’t work. They’re dirt cheap from Toolstation but you need to grind some bits off!
