After nearly a decade of riding a '94 GT RTS 1 back & forth to work & moaning, I finally persuaded my wifey to upgrade & spend some cash on a decent bike to commute on.
The brief was something light, responsive & fast, the frame could be Ti or Ally, no steel & defo no Carbon !
So the search was on, Then after 4 weeks trawling Retrobike, Facebook, Gumtree & Fleabay. Bingo!! this little beauty turned up, A Gunmetal Grey 16" F7 RC200 already set up as a commuter {630mm rims} !!
Made the guy an offer which he accepted, & went to take a look.
After checking her over with a fine tooth comb, I couldn't believe my luck the components were in very good condition, but the frame is in immaculate condition, no dings, a couple of very light scratches & no chainsuck whatsoever, it had been ridden by his wife & never taken off-road !!
So after a 6hr round trip she was finally at her new home, a change of fork & saddle & the addition of some crappy pedals & it was time for yay or nay & our lass took it for a good ride around the block, as she came back down our street the massive grin on her face told me it was a yay !! Another convert into the cult of Pace !
