New + Peugeot project!

Hallo every one.

The story goes as follows, in 1992 ( age thirteen) i bought, after a year of saving and car washing a Peugeot Safari ATB Camel colour. I few years later is was stolen.

So, a few months ago a was looking at marktplaats.nl and found a Peugeot Altitude (1992 and one model better than de Safari). I Bought it, then i found a Peugeot Safari Violet (wrong colour) and last week i found a Peugeot Pro Team (XT M730).

First i start cleaning the Altitude en Safari, the Pro Team is work in progress.

My target is of course to learn from you guys en make these project a success.

Greetings,
Alexander79

That last one is similar spec to my old 1990 Saracen Kili Flier Comp. Those Wolber AT18 rims with the XT hubs were the best wheels I ever had.

Ey! I had that bike in the early 90´s.. but I destroyed it :-(
Top seat tube welds were broken after riding for a long time

Cool! My first MTB was a Puegeot Trail

I made a homage build to it using a Puegeot Scorpion 531 as it had the same paint scheme, using nicer period kit

Agreed that Pro Team looks great

Nice job on all counts

It's interesting that the Safari frame is just labelled cro-mo, but weighs the same as the other two (I'm assuming the weight savings on the Pro Team are from better kit) which are made of 531.

The Safari frame is Cro-Mo and the Altitude/Magnum/Pro Team are all Reynolds 531. The weight can't be the same. Time for a weight experiment...
