under the radar
Dirt Disciple
hello, i just stumbled across this forum and am delighted to see that there are so many people who enjoy old MTBs. i have a few pre '95 bikes and i feel like the early 90s was a special halcyon time for mountain bikers and our bikes, a pioneering time that we will never see again.
here's some crappy quick pictures of one of my bikes...in 1992, when i was in high school and a junior class Norba racer, this is the bike that i drooled over in the bike shop window, i couldn't afford it then...but now, i can afford to build it up the way i would have liked and it is still a wonderful bike to ride on the trails...is it as fast and smooth as my modern Santa Cruz? no...but it's just as much fun.
