I never really think of Deore as budget either. Tourney is budget.

I would second that deore is not budget! Deore is what I would generally go for because its good value not budget.
For me all the new trends are too expensive anyway!

"Affordable", "Budget", "Value", all words I've seen used to describe the new Deore 12-speed today.
I mean, I like it, I think I'd probably go for it over XT.
But, it's all subjective. Things seem to be getting exponentially more expensive each revision, or maybe that's me being a retro grouch
