'Naked' Bottom Bracket Sheath Sollutions?

I'm just about to fit a TA bottom bracket. They are not sealed units, as you all know, I'm sure.

To prevent ingress from inside the frame, does anyone have a DIY fix for a sheath? There are Tioga ones on Ebay (not cheap).

I like your thinking. Havnt got any spare. Might be too thick tho. It's a fine tolerance between shell, cup and axle.

Odd one but in the late 90's there were some foam rings you could soak in oil and pop on the outside over the bb axle to add sealing. can't remember what they called em

Could try the same thing with some foam tape?

Will a hollow tech 2 BB middle bit work?

Inside tube of a lock-on handlebar grip? (Just binned an old Death grip that has an easily hacksaw-able nylon tube of the right ballpark dimensions). Question is, when the moisture hits the sheath, where does it go? I’ve often thought a slotted BB shell (or drilled hole) is prolly a better bet.
